Each year TCM offers this program to a group of teachers and their
students. The program includes: a FREE Teacher Workshop, FREE bus
transportation for your students, FREE art activity and FREE one-year

Summer Workshops for KIDS!
June 10,11,12,13 (4 day) 2-4 pm - Ages 8 -12
Imaginative Product DesignMelissa Torres
Participants will learn to become designers as they research, sketch, make models, draw and present their ideas for a unique, new product in this 4 day workshop.
June 17, 18, 19 (3 day) 2-4 pm Ages 8-12
Creative Illustration and Book Making Erica Johnson and Rob Molyneux
In this class, students will learn new ways of drawing and make a flipbook based on personal interests.
June 27th (1day) 2:00-4:00 Ages 6-12
Fanciful Flora - Jacqueline Rush Lee
Inspired by Biennial artitst, Ellie Baxter’s dark, organic forms and Ernst Haeckell’s Art Forms in Nature, workshop participants will create imaginary botanical paintings inspired by nature and found object prints. The expressive applications of color, line, space, texture and composition will be emphasized.

Japanese Kite Making - Abigail Romanchak
During this three day course students will consider elements of design and detail, learn various methods of relief printmaking and construct a Japanese kite that really flies.

Signs and Symbols Jacqueline Rush Lee
In this workshop participants will create an imaginary sign of their own making based upon the sign systems of Wayne Zebda and the imaginative creations of Cade Roster. Participants will then scour TCM’s grounds to intervene and replace selected signs with their own artistic creations. Workshop participants will each receive a photograph of their artistic sign intervention at TCM.

Foiled: Contemporary Sculpture Jacqueline Rush Lee
*Space is limited. Priority will be given to public and charter
school teachers.
In this workshop participants will focus on the use of multiples to experiment and create a layered and painted sculpture inspired by the found Road Stripe sculpture of Wayne Zebda.
