Presented by the Friends of The Contemporary Museum, the 14th annual ArtSpree was an all-day event held at the museum and featured opportunities for visitors to interact with contemporary art through hands-on activities, demonstrations, storytelling, dance and music performances. On July 14, 2007, over 1,500 people braved the rain to enjoy this event.

The Contemporary Museum would like to extend a special thanks to The Friends of The Contemporary Museum, our generous sponsors and our dedicated volunteers, artists and staff who each year make this important community event an overwhelming success.

ArtSpree 2007 was sponsored by The Ron and Sanne Higgins Family Foundation, Starbucks and Jamba Juice. (Special thanks to Punahou School for once again providing excellent parking accommodations, to Hawaii Special Events for the beautiful tenting, and to Catering Connection for the tables and chairs.


ArtSpree 2007 is dedicated to Paul Loo (July 14, 1931 - June 24, 2007), generous benefactor to The Contemporary Museum and to educational, social welfare, religious, and cultural organizations throughout the state of Hawai'i
