Using traditional Venetian techniques, Mark Mitsuda seeks to explore form, color and texture through the vehicle of the goblet. The goblet format offers a wealth of possibilities for the glassblower while Venetian technique offers Mitsuda the precision to create work that ranges from flamboyantly baroque to elegantly simple.

Mark Mitsuda was born in Honolulu, Hawai‘i and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass and Sculpture from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, New York.
